Born in Wilmington, Delaware, Maria DeSoto Ambach received a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Delaware. She has grown with a myriad of stories about her Cuban heritage. Currently she is writing a novel incorporating events that happened to her paternal grandfather during his tenure as Secretary to President Machado. This novel will be succeeded by one about her maternal grandmother and her adventures as the first Cuban aviatrix.
Maria can be described best as a mug of American coffee with a shot of Cuban espresso. She resides in Boca Raton, Florida with her family and two dogs.
